Make sure you start it at about 3:30!  Just some ladies bringing back that Mepmphis Soul!

A soft and very well spoken song!  I heard this song on So You Think You can Dance and the lyrics that resonate best with me were at about the 2:20 mark.  Enjoy and sorry it has been a while!

Kat Dahlia

Check out this clever Rap/R&B/Hip-Hop song with a combo of a hard core beat with even harder lyrics.  It seems to make you become pumped up in a pissed off  way for no reason.  As you can see from this interview, Kat Dahlia is also a down to earth artist who doesn’t mind being compared to the like of Rihanna or Adele.

Labrinth & Emeli Sande

Wow a great song!  Wait no, an AMAZING song!  Well, I’m not one to give relationship advice so just listen to the song and generate your own advice.

Sorry I had to go a little old school on this one!

Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys can’t stop making great tracks!

Grab your man or girl and start making some babies!

Another great unknown group of female R&B artists out of the UK, Stooshe. From left to right in the photo above: Karis, Alex, and Courtney.  Boy Courtney has a crazy swagger with the bright colors combined with the emo hair.  It is like Lady Gaga had Nicki Minaj‘s baby…no but in all seriousness this is a pretty good song.  Even though Stooshe is R&B, Pop, and Soul Black Heart is more on the Soul and R&B side.  Look out for them as they hook up with Nicki Minaj in Europe for her tour.

Mercy – Kanye West ft. Big Sean, Pusha T, & 2 Chainz (this hip-hop track goes hard all 4 of them!)

It All Belongs to Me (Album)Monica (she reminds me of a mix of Beyonce and Mary J)

Underwater Sunshine (or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation) (Album)Counting Crows (More on their album later in the week)

Too Close – Alex Clare (A good dubstep drop for yah!)

[R&B/Pop] Domino – Jessie J

Posted: September 13, 2011 in Hip Hop, Soul

This song is for all those ladies out there that I like to run into at the bar.  Jessie J and English singer does a great job with this hit.  I am really surprised it hasn’t caught on in the U.S.  “Domino” reminds me of hits like “Dance Naked” by John Cougar Mellencamp and “Dancing in the Dark” by DEV.  Dance your asses off ladies!!!!
