Another young lady taking the Rihanna/Katy Perry/Kelly Clarkson style and taking a great voice and throwing it in over some house/electronic beats. I applaud them but shouldn’t the DJs and producers get more credit than they do?

Check out this track, “R.I.P.” written by Drake himself and performed by Rita Ora and Tinie Tempah. I usually don’t question top artist but on this one I have to say what was Rihanna thinking in turning down this song that Drake made for her. Oh well, hopefully this jump starts Rita’s music career because she is very talented. Drake also has a good little twist to this song released on the mixtape Young Sweet Jones that you can check out on datpiff.com.

There were some great performances at the Grammy’s last night with the best being the sendoff at the end. Catch the video above to check it out. David Guetta, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, The Foo Fighters, and Deadmau5. Chris Brown and David threw it down the best followed by The Foo Fighters and Deadmau5. Deadmau5 did a great dubstep but no one will ever know what that really sounded like until you are actually in a club with the right speaker system. The worst by far was Lil Wayne, there wasn’t enough of him to really compare him to anyone else. Chris Brown’s first performance was alright, Adele did what Adele does and was amazing, Jennifer Hudson had the most emotional piece and did a fantastic job on short notice. Coldplay, Rihanna, and Niki Minaj were good. Everyone else was exactly that, not worth mentioning and I think there are some older artists that need to listen to themselves and maybe hang up the mic.
