phil Phillips

Many know this artist, Phillip Phillips, for his funny name or winning American Idol in 2012.  Many who don’t watch American Idol or want to prejudge Phil because of the whole “American Idol” image should take a step back and listen to his album “The World From The Side of The Moon”.  It is in my top ten of 2012 and many people don’t realize that during the show Phil had kidney stones and had 8 procedures.  He choose to keep them a secret because he didn’t want to win because of this, he wanted to win fair and square. Enjoy!

Kid Cudi (Man on the Moon III)                             Asher Roth (Is This too Orange?)

Two great videos for yah!!!!!

If you aren’t checking out Timeflies on their youtube site every Tuesday you might as well call a week 6 days.  Their “Without You” cover above is pretty good but DAMN do they drop it hard on the second video.  This is going to be added as an instant classic on my pregame playlist, check out the track 2012!  Man would I love to be in that studio with them just vibing to the beat on a Tuesday!

Timeflies new album here, The Scotch Tape.

Alright, your view of this post should not stop at reading this and watching this video!  I really enjoy this great duo known as “Timeflies” and you might want to look out for them in 2012.  Check out the links below to see their website, get their album “The Scotch Tape“, and suscribe to their Timeflies Tuesdays on youtube.com.  This is a duo features two guys, Cal and Rez, out of the New York, New Jersey, Boston area.  This band doesn’t have a genre and makes all their own beats and lyrics.  These two young kids prove that hard work and striving for what you want to do in life is possible even when graduating and stepping into the real world can be daunting and can intimidate you into the normal 9-5 or making millions as a businessmen or lawyer.  All those dreamers out their, strive to live your dreams because Cal and Rez are perfect examples of this!
